Keynotes in Revit

Keynotes in Revit are a powerful thing. Think of only creating one master keynotes list that is easily transferable from project to project. Moving an element with a keynote already attached to it, not a problem, the keynote moves with the element. Don’t want to continuously go through menus to change a keynote, use an element keynote. This way every element that is the same family and type will have the same keynote with one shortcut key.

Below is a guide to how to create keynotes and keep it as a master txt file for your projects. Revit can only read tab delimited text files, so ensure to keep it as one. Excel can read these, which makes viewing much easier.

Happy Keynoting!
