We’ve been in the trenches just like you. Working long hours to put projects together. Our founder, Dillon Mitchell, PE started Kowabunga Studios because after working long days on a 30 Operating Room renovation project as his first healthcare project in a new firm without help, he completely burnt out. Learning and doing everything on his own took its toll. Not to mention 2 months in the project manager quit, so he took over that role too. Plus, engineer of record and department manager.

Once design documents were handed in that cold day in late January, days before Dillon was to get on a plane to go on vacation, he got shingles. The stress manifested the most painful, itchy, rash that lasts 10 days, no matter what. A most painful vacation. What was supposed to be a one-in-a-lifetime trip became full of pain. No alcohol to wash it away either because of the cocktail of anti-virals and pain meds.
